The organization focuses on helping with energy related emergencies. If all other sources of assistance have been exhausted. Energy Share may help individuals pay their energy bills. A one-time expenditure of up to $500 per household can be made to provide assistance.
Energy Share funds are to be used as a last resort for people in emergency need with no other obvious resources. First priority goes to individuals and families with annual incomes at or below the amounts reflected in the chart show below and who are residents of Wyoming.
Special consideration is given to senior citizens and the disabled. The Salvation Army determines assistance based on need, lack of other resources and the amount of available Energy Share funds.

Households with annual income below the amounts listed on the chart may be eligible to receive assistance under special circumstance as approved by the Salvation Army and/or the Energy Share Board of Directors.
Applications must include documented attempts to find alternate sources, such as letters of denial and memoranda stating the need for additional assistance.
Brief followup interview with individuals receiving help may be completed to assist Energy Share with its evaluation process.
